The short version
OfferWise is run by OfferWise Ltd, a company registered in England and Wales (company number 17229540). We are the controller of the personal data described in this policy. We are registered with the Information Commissioner's Office (ICO) under reference ZC155377.
For anything about your data, email hello@offerwise.uk or write to us at our registered office address, which is shown on our Companies House record. We do not have a data protection officer, as we are not required to appoint one.
The law requires us to have a lawful basis for each use of your data. These are ours.

Where we rely on legitimate interests, we have checked that our interest is not outweighed by your rights. You can object to this use at any time (see Your rights below).
We do not sell your data and we do not share it for advertising. We use these service providers to run OfferWise:

We may also share data if the law requires it, or with professional advisers such as our accountant, under a duty of confidentiality.
Some of these providers, including Vercel, Stripe, Resend, Anthropic and Google, are based in or process data in the United States. Where your data leaves the UK, it is protected by UK adequacy regulations (such as the UK–US data bridge, for certified companies) or by contract terms approved for UK data protection law. Offer scores are worked out automatically, but they are information to help you decide. They have no legal effect and nothing is decided about you from them.
No law requires you to. We need your name, email address and a password to create an account, and the details of an offer to score it. Without them we cannot provide those features. You can browse the site, the guides and the Academy lesson list without an account.
OfferWise is not intended for children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect their data.
If you are unhappy with how we have used your data, please tell us first at hello@offerwise.uk. We will acknowledge your complaint within 30 days, look into it, and tell you the outcome without undue delay.
You also have the right to complain to the Information Commissioner's Office, the UK regulator for data protection, at ico.org.uk/make-a-complaint or on 0303 123 1113.
We update this policy when the way we use data changes. The date at the top shows the latest version. If a change affects you significantly, we will tell you by email or with a notice on the site.
